Nicole Lopez, Strategist

She completed a B.A. in International Relations, an M.A. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics, an M.A. in Transformative Studies, and pursued doctoral work at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
With over fifteen years of experience in language education, she has taught multilingual learners across community colleges, K–12 schools, universities, and private professional settings, while continually investigating how language shapes identity, perception, and ways of being in the world. Her published scholarship on Language and Consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies reflects this ongoing exploration and serves as a foundation for her current work.
Collaborative Expertise
RPL works closely with the Independent Philanthropy Advisor Referral Group (IPAR), a national network of trusted collaborative partners who support nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations with fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, operations, accounting, and hands-on implementation.
Partners
Founder Ian Shea’s work sits at the intersection of lived operational reality and disciplined organizational analysis. He approaches complexity not as an abstract strategist, but as someone who has repeatedly operated inside volatility, where clarity, restraint, and judgment determine whether systems hold or fail.

Blog
In our blog, we explore narrative as both mirror and map.
Grant Writing as Sacred Space
Think of grant writing not as a transaction, but as creating sacred space—a place where your mission and a funder’s values can meet, connect, and grow together.
Building Trust in Mission-Driven Spaces
The most successful mission-driven organizations understand a fundamental truth.
Marketing’s Role in Shaping Self-Perception
Marketing is deeply intertwined with our worldview because it shapes and reflects how we perceive ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Successful Fundraising Strategies
Strategic fundraising begins with research—understanding donors’ interests, capacity, and connections to craft tailored approaches that turn insight into impact.
Fundraising Ethics
Effective fundraising and development must include careful consideration of the laws and regulations that govern such activities, which include interactions with donors, staff, and volunteers.
Fundraising and Development
Fundraising is more than asking—it’s the start of a relationship. Development builds trust, turning support into shared purpose and philanthropy into culture.
Self-Reflection in Marketing
Marketing is a business domain not only for promoting brands, products, and services but also as a platform for organizational self-reflection, engaging the entire staff in the process.
